It was an wonderful day and most important thing to say it’s Sunday. After the day got over me and my friend got a sudden plan to visit Velankanni Church and Beach. At that time I was at Kumbakonam, first we planned to go by bike and changed the mode of transport to bus.
We took a express service of Tamilnadu Government and bus started first to Thiruvaroor. We reached Thiruvaroor by midday and started to Velankanni in another bus. We reached Velankanni and had a lime soda and made our first move to Velankanni Church after visiting Church we went to Velankanni Beach.
In Velankanni church the view where awesome, we visited the Church on the day when yearly function is going to get started in next 2 weeks. I got a chance to visit morning star church, church is massive and another attraction I observed is the fans fixed for the Church.
During my visit the pilgrims where higher as it was on a Sunday. After visiting all churches inVelankanni basilica. We moved to Velankanni Beach we spend few hours at beach and moved back. The water in Velankanni Beach was not so clean in the shores, think it might be mixed with garbage water.
After visiting Velankanni Beach we moved to have our lunch at around 4pm. We went for Lunch at Hotel Anjappar, we ordered Kerala Fish Curry meals,Chicken Fried Rice, Chilly Chicken and Chilly chicken Manchurian. Food was authentic and good in taste. Servicevery was good, I was happy because I am having kerala rice after so many months.
After that we boarded bus to Kumbakonam and reached Kumbakonam at 7pm.
